Is this pad chew proof?
This is not a chew proof crate pad. The ripstop ballistic fabric is durable and will hold up to wear and tear as well as digging, scratching, and light chewing, but it can be damaged by aggressive or persistent chewing habits.
What is this pad made from?
The outer shell of the crate pad is made from 1200D ripstop ballistic polyester fabric, including the black bottom. There is a textured rubber coating on the bottom of the pad to prevent it from sliding. The inner padding is 100% recycled polyester fiberfill batting.
Should I remove the crate tray when using this pad?
It depends! If you want to use the tie downs and you want to use them most effectively, you do need to take the tray out first. This exposes the bottom wires of the crate and will give you the best attachment points for the ties. If you don’t want to use the tie-downs or are just attaching them to the side wires (only recommended if your dog is not a big chewer), then it’s fine to place this pad on top of the tray.
How do I clean this bed?
Simply wipe the bed down with a damp cloth or scrub away any stubborn spots with soap and warm water. For a more thorough cleaning, machine wash the pad whole in cold water on a delicate cycle and then machine dry on low heat until fully dry. The tie downs will need to be cut to remove the pad from the crate, but you can replace them with standard zip ties.

Yes, these covers feature convenient zippers or other secure closures for easy removal and washing. This ensures a snug fit and prevents the cover from slipping off the pad.
